It's Me, It's Me, It's Big Tee!!

People have been after me to see what I can come up with for a web page. Well, I'm sure they won't be polishing up the HTML Writer's Guild trophies for this one!!

My name is Terry, and I am from the Dallas, TX. area. I am originally a Yankee, from Illinois, but I moved to Dallas in 1985. I am a Texan by choice. You might already know that I am a Gay man. I am not gay by choice!

I am a simple man. That's not to say I am a simpleton, but it doesn't take a lot to please me, and I am easily amused! How else do you explain my fascination with the Internet?!?!

I have been overweight all my life, and believe me, if you think it's hard enough being straight in this world, try being gay and overweight!! No, really! Try it! I am 50 years old and I have been big all my life. I also feel as if I was born gay, though there isn't enough gigs of hard drive space on the web to debate that.

There is such a "pretty-boy" mentality in the gay community, not to mention the straight community. As a result of this, I have always felt like an outsider. It's taken me a long time to deal with this. I am slowly coming out of my shell, and I have a lot of great friends that I have met on the Internet to thank for that.

Well, OK, let's end the pity party, now. I just want to let you read a couple things that I think are very well-written. The first one, The Beauty Shop, I discovered on the net somewhere and deals with how people perceive one another. The other, Sullivan Ballou's Letter, is a letter written by a Civil War soldier to his wife, shortly before he went into battle. If you saw the PBS Special about the Civil War, you may be familiar with it. I think it is the most romantic letter ever written by a man. Too bad he was straight!! It is truly touching.
